AMCF Distributes Funds to Charities for 2016

The Arizona Multihousing Charitable Foundation (AMCF) Board of Directors issued checks totaling more than $43,000 in February to local charities in Phoenix and Tucson. The charities and amounts distributed include UMOM ($18,865) and Florence Crittenton ($4,716), both in Phoenix, and Our Family Services ($19,857), in Tucson.

Big Hearts committees in Phoenix and Tucson make annual recommendations to the AMCF board, which then distributes the funds at the end of each fundraising year. In addition to outside charities, another $27,500 was contributed to the Julie Hurst Scholarship Fund via the Arizona Community Foundation (ACF). It is anticipated that the Hurst fund will meet initial granting capacity at the end of 2017 giving cycle with more than $50,000 in deposit at ACF.

The Big Hearts Committees are currently in the process of determining the 2017 charitable recipients.
