MC Companies joins Arizona Helping Hands to help kids get back to school

This weekend Arizona Helping Hands hopes to achieve its goal of donating backpacks filled with school supplies to well over 5,000 children in foster care programs throughout the state. With more than 17,000 children in foster care in Arizona, AHH hopes to help as many children as possible feel confident and prepared to return to school.

Pam Harris, DCS Central Region Community Coordinator recently stated the following:

“It is imperative that these children are equipped with the essentials to ensure their success and AHH makes this happen. Having the supplies they need allows children in foster care to feel a sense of normalcy and not feel left out.”

MC Residential has united with other companies including General Mills and Hollister to hold their own collection drive in order to gather essential supplies and backpacks for children in need. Other companies are involved in sorting and packing the supplies into backpacks.

Additionally, individuals can contribute to the cause by purchasing supplies and a backpack for as low as $25.00 at www.ahhbacktoschool.org
